John Collins

Since entering the football scene in the late 80’s, Collins earned himself a reputation as one of the most skilful players in British football. In 1990, Celtic spent a staggering £1 million for him. During his 6 seasons at the club he proved he was worth every penny the club had purchased him at and he moved to Monaco of France in the summer of 1996. After captaining Scotland in the 1998 world cup, he moved to premiership club, Everton, and he soon became a favorite with the fans.

Matt Jackson

Before playing for Wigan, Jackson featured in many different football league clubs, including Luton, Norwich, Charlton and Everton. He moved to Wigan in the year 2001 and his experience helped Wigan to promotion into the premier league during the 2004/05 season. In his debut season in the premiership, Wigan finished in the top half of the table and he helped carry them to the final of the Carling cup, however Wigan lost the final 4-0 to Man United.

 

David Weir

Weir began his career playing for Falkirk in 1992, he spent four years at the club before starring for Hearts. It was the year 1999, when Weir made his breakthrough into the English premiership, signing for Everton. Weir soon won over the Evertonian fans and became a favorite at the club. He is now playing in his eighth season at the club and has recorded over 230 appearances. Weir is the captain of the Everton football team and also plays for Scotland, notching up a total of 50 caps, representing his nation.

Lee Carsley


Carsley began his career playing for Derby County, Blackburn and Coventry City before moving to Everton in 2002 for £1.95 Million. He soon became a permanent fixture in the Everton starting line up and a fans favorite. One of Carselys greatest moments in an Everton shirt was scoring the winning goal in the Merseyside Derby in December 2005. Carsley’s outstanding performances helped Everton finish in forth position at the end of the 2004-05 season. Carsely has also notched up 29 caps playing for his national team, Republic of Ireland.
