Nick Barmby
After few very successful seasons playing for Spurs, Barmby switched to the Riverside for £5.75 million and did not disappoint. The 1996-97 season witnessed Barmby move to Everton and he instantly became a vital player for the club. He netted in 21 goals in 133 matches and moved onto local rivals, Liverpool, for £6 million in July 2000. At Liverpool he won the UEFA Cup and League cup.
Gary Ablett
After spending 9 seasons playing for Liverpool, Ablett surprisingly moved to Everton in 1992 for £750000. Ablett soon became a permanent fixture playing for Everton, who helped keep Everton in the premiership during his first two seasons at the club. He won the FA Cup with Everton in 1995 as they beat Man United 1-0 in the final. To this day he remains the only player to have won the FA Cup with both Everton and Liverpool. After his four year spell playing for Everton, Ablett had spells playing for Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Blackpool. |
