Alex Young

Young was a prolific goal scorer for the Blues during their league title winning season of 1962-63. He commenced his career playing for Hearts in Scotland at the age of 18, in November 1960 he moved to Everton for £42000, which proved to be money well spent. In their title winning season, Young scored 22 goals in 42 matches and created many other goals that helped them win the title. Young was also a key member of the Everton team that won the FA Cup in 1966. Young later moved on to play for Stockport County before retiring from playing football due to a knee injury.
